Rebreathers

Rebreathers

Welcome to the real silent world!

DSV

Light, compact, simple

Dive surface valve is a simple, yet functional solution. Best choice for those who prefer minimalistic gear.

Dive surface valve is designed with the smart minimalism in mind. It is the most compact and lightest mouthpiece possible. Our DSV is a part of Liberty’s inner aerodynamics and allows high flow with minimal resistance for maximal breathing comfort.

BOV

Just switch me when in trouble

Bailout valve allows to safely switch from your rebreather to OC without any stress from searching for the regulator. This selection opens a variety of amazing options.

The bailout valve can immediately switch from rebreather to open circuit bailout in an emergency. There is no need to remove the mouthpiece from your mouth in such a dangerous situation as hypoxia, hyperoxia or hypercapnia. You make just one easy movement to switch to open circuit.

Liberty BOV is really unique. It is a gamechanger on the market thanks to its functional design and features. Even though it combines a standard mouthpiece with second stage regulator, it stays light and compact. It is neutrally buoyant which prevents jaw’s fatigue during long dives. It is designed to be versatile, it is possible to connect it to the Divesoft patented MAVs or to implement a built-in ADV. Modular design allows you to choose between a standard mouthpiece or opt for a connector for a variety of full-face masks.

JJ-CCR

The JJ-CCR rebreather has been called ‘the 4 x 4 of the rebreather community’ which in many ways is the perfect description as it is built for all types of terrain and can be adapted to handle the most demanding adventures. The JJ-CCR demands a skilled diver fully aware of the pros and cons of technical rebreathers and was never intended for the sports diving market, it was engineered by professional wreck divers who needed a solid tool to do the job in the deep, dark, and cold waters of the Baltic Sea. The environment the JJ-CCR was built for demands a rebreather that is simple and sturdy in regards to handling and ruggedness, independent of the situation and operational environment. All of the components of the JJ-CCR have been carefully selected and are there for a reason! Each detail has a purpose and every solution can be justified. The versatility of the rebreather makes it adaptable for whatever dive you are planning.

The philosophy behind the JJ-CCR is to keep it simple with robust construction and minimalistic work detail making it easy to handle before, during and after the dive. The main assembly consists of an aluminum housing and a stainless steel stand where all the components such as counter lungs, wings, and harness are attached. This provides the user with comfort on land when donning the rebreather as well as in water when diving it. All hoses and gas paths are made for optimal performance both in water and for maintenance purposes. The JJ-CCR is equipped with state of the art electronics and is ready to fly right out of the box. Fill it with sofnolime and serious adventures are about to begin.

Inspiration / Evolution

Inspiration: designed to fit your body & your dive style exact

  1. One size does not fit all. There are 3 Inspiration models (with different size chassis) to choose from and 5 sizes of integrated weight harnesses from small to XXL
  2. Counterlung Choice: over the shoulder or back-mounted? We’re the only manufacturer to give you the option
  3. Cylinders & Scrubber size to suit your dive goals and demands:
  • Inspiration evo – high-performance, lighter travel spec – 2 litre cylinders, 2 hour scrubber
  • Inspiration evp – best-of-all-worlds spec – 2 litre cylinders, 3 hour scrubber
  • Inspiration xpd – the ultimate dive machine – 3 litre cylinders, 3 hour scrubber

All good stuff that comes as standard. Then the fun begins…

The difference between the 3 models?

This can be summed up quite simply: Inspiration… Small, Medium and Large.

They are identical apart from chassis length and they have different sizes (durations) of scrubber unit and cylinders. All 3 models have the same spec in terms of build quality, control systems and upgrade options. (exception: only the larger unit – the Inspiration xpd – can upgrade to a 22kg wing because of it’s chassis size)

So which Inspiration model is right for me?

The answer to this will be a balance between the type of diving you plan to do and how much importance you give to the size and weight of the unit chosen in relation to your body frame size.

Points to consider:

  • All 3 units can be dived to technical depths with appropriate planning for diluent gas mix and off-board bailout gas contingencies.
  • When flying abroad you can reduce hold luggage weight by about 10kg on all units by packing the scrubber and head in your hand luggage and using the dive resort’s cylinders.
  • Each model has a full range of harness sizes from small to XXL.
  • There is a only a 5kg difference in ready-to-dive weight between the xpd and the evo.
  • All 3 units are approved (and can be spec’d for all training levels Rec to Tec) by TDI, IANTD, ANDI, IART, ETDS, PTA, SSI, ITDA, BSAC, PSA and RAID and PADI.

So, we seem to be saying any model is right for you. To an extent this is true.

Some conclusions

  • If diving the unit without additional bailout contingency, the Inspiration xpd with 3 litre cylinders and 3 hour scrubber may be the unit of choice if you intend to do multiple repeat dives without refilling consumables between dives.
  • Typical consumption per dive is about 30 bar from each cylinder so you would generally have sufficient bailout redundancy for subsequent dives with all units. However, psychologically, you may feel more comfortable with the unit with the larger cylinders.
  • The smaller units may be a better choice if you intend to frequently fly abroad to dive. Although, with AP’s extensive global support network, the heavy items – cylinders and sofnolime – can be sourced locally.
  • The smaller units may be the best choice if they are a better fit to your body shape and size (especially your back length) and you place greater importance on fit and pre-dive comfort than other considerations.
